Be Informed

Have you ever wished you were more informed about what the heck your local elected officials are up to–or even worse–found yourself shocked by awful decisions they’ve already made? There’s no better way to be informed about what local government is doing than to get and stay engaged with the decisions they’re making on behalf of taxpayers.

There’s no substitute for attending the public meetings where these decisions are made (and in most cases these decisions must be made in a public meeting to be lawful). However, whether you can be present or not, the publicly available copies of agendas and minutes of those meetings can be extremely helpful to observers.
